Aluminium futures rise amid rising demand

Aluminium futures were trading higher during the noon trade in the domestic market on Tuesday as speculators built up fresh positions, taking positive cues from the spot market on pick up in demand.

Analysts said fresh positions created by participants after upsurge in demand from consuming industries in the physical market influenced aluminium prices in futures trade.

At the MCX, aluminium futures for July 2018 contract is trading at Rs 145.20 per kg, up by 0.41 per cent, after opening at Rs 145.00, against a previous close of Rs 144.6. It touched the intra-day high of Rs 146.2 (at 14:55 hours)
